How To Save On The GMC Canyon Truck
The Canyon has come a long way since its days as the GMC S-15 and Sonoma, and is now an impressive American truck in its own right. No longer an entry-level embarrassment, the Canyon is a mid-sized beast that pull up to 7700 pounds with a monster 430 lb-ft of torque. Right now G.M. has a number of great incentives on the Canyon, painting the opportunity for savings.
The modern-day GMC Canyon and Chevy Colorado are now far from their “compact” roots as the Chevy S-10 and the GMC Sonoma. Now marketed as mid-size trucks, today’s Canyon and Colorado rival the “full size” trucks of yore in terms of dimensions, and were both brand-new for model year 2023 in their third generation. The Colorado is the cheaper of the twins, starting at $29,800 msrp, while the more up-market Canyon starts at $38,400 msrp.
No longer outfitted with an unloved five cylinder, both trucks feature the “TurboMax” blown-4 with up to 310 horsepower from their big-brother siblings, and both feature an eight speed automatic. The Canyon Elevation comes standard with an 11.3 inch diagonal center touch screen and digital information center, a high definition rear vision camera with hitch view, wireless Apple Carplay/Android Auto, 18 inch wheels with all terrain tires, as well as all of the things we’ve come to expect new vehicles to have, like cruise control, power windows, power seats, keyless entry and start, USB ports, and steering wheel mounted controls.

AT4 turns up the trail focus without losing daily-driver polish. It builds on Elevation with 4WD and an automatic locking rear differential, a two-speed Autotrac transfer case, Advanced Hill Descent Control with added underbody protection, and a drive-mode selector that brings Terrain, Tow/Haul, and Off-Road settings. If you want even more headroom for rougher tracks, the available AT4X package layers on a factory lift, front and rear e-lockers, Multimatic DSSV dampers, 33-inch mud-terrain tires, and additional hardware; AEV Edition and Nightfall Edition packages add armor and design upgrades for deeper back-country confidence. Denali shifts the Canyon experience more premium. You’ll find an exclusive Jet Black interior with Teak accents, a multicolor head-up display, High Definition Surround Vision, wireless phone charging, and distinctive 20-inch diamond-cut wheels. Denali also offers up to 10 available camera views, including underbody views that help when threading ruts or lining up on a rocky approach. If your miles are mostly paved but you still want the stance and utility of a truck, Denali’s cabin refinement and tech can make long days on the road feel easy. (GMC)
Right now GMC is a host of amazing incentives on the 2025 Canyon for the end of the model year, including an impressive 3.4% APR deal on Canyons for qualified buyers, representing a substantial savings on financing costs. You can also lease a 2025 Canyon Short Crew 4WD Elevation Preferred for $359 a month for 36 months plus $7,274 cash down. Be sure to consult local dealers as deals do vary by region. Cast a wide net using the dealer inventory tool and compare multiple stores within a reasonable driving radius; despite national promotions, not all dealers price the same, and some will be more aggressive on in-stock colors or option packages. Ask every store for an out-the-door price that includes taxes and fees, and be selective about add-ons like paint protection, VIN etching, maintenance packages, and extra alarm systems—polite declines on extras can save hundreds or even thousands.
