Inside The 2024 Chevy Blazer

G.M.’s SUV for the middle of its model range is the Blazer, which was all-new for 2019 and received a handsome facelift for 2023. As is usual when model ages, dealers and manufacturers offer good deals as they come up on their pending redesign. G.M. is thusly pushing a number of great incentives on the current 2024 Blazer. You may be able to get an amazing price a brand new car if you do your homework.

No longer a hulking square mass of steel related to Chevy trucks, today’s Blazer fits above the Equinox but below the all-new Traverse, the former with seating for five and the latter with seats for seven. The Blazer also seats five but has more space, and is a bit more stylish than its Equinox sibling. Blazer starts at $35,400 msrp for entry-level 2LT trim. Standard features include two-tone models with black roof, hands free liftgate which you can “kick” open with your foot, and tap-and-go infotainment screen technology. LED daytime running lamps make the Blazer stand out, as do LED taillamps. Standard motor is a 228 horsepower 2.0 liter four cylinder, while a 308 horsepower 3.6 liter V6 is optional; both come with a 9 speed automatic transmission and front or all wheel drive (optional).

Blazer 3LT starts at $39,300, unlocking the optional and more powerful V6 motor (not available on 2LT). It can tow up to 4,500 pounds with the V6, and has a power programmable liftgate. RS trim, the Sport model, costs $42,800 msrp, makes the 3.6L V6 standard, and adds black exterior accents with black Chevy bowties, leather appointed seats with red accents (blue accents optional), and unique 20 or 21 inch wheels. The Blazer Premier is the luxury model, msrp $42,800, with a chrome horizontal grill, leather seats with sueded microfiber accents, and unique Premier-trim 20 or 21-inch wheels.

Chevy also has a brand-new Blazer EV, which is a different car altogether than the Blazer in GM’s effort to endlessly confound the car-buying public. The Blazer EV starts at $48,800 msrp, achieves 324 miles of range on the RWD RS model, and has an 8-year and 100,000 mile warranty on its battery. GM has very aggressive lease incentives on the Blazer EV given the tepid demand for them.

Chevy is currently offering crazy cheap APR’s on the Blazer for qualified buyers, sometimes with no monthly payments for a certain number of months, plus cash allownace. Blazer is also leasing at great rates, in particular for current GM lessees. Be sure to check local dealers for area-specific incentives on Blazer models. You can also lease a 2024 Blazer EV LT eAWD for a similar amount as would cost a regular gas model given the weak demand for EV’s.
